Leroy Perez 

    has been in the Information Technology, Information Security (InfoSec), and Cyber Security (CyberSec) industry for over 18+ years and holds a variety of technical and cybersecurity certifications combined with years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Networking, Information Security, Computer Forensics, IT Audit Compliance and Frameworks (RMF), Computer and Network Incident Response and Management. In addition to Teaching.

 

  He also served as vCISO for an MSP (Managed Services Provider) that enforces and supports the Information Security for several Non-Profits, Corporations, Legal, Medical, Education, and Financial entities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, across the country, and Overseas.

 

Since 1995, he has also been teaching Industry vendor certification courses for CompTIA, Microsoft, and InfoSec-related certifications. He also serves as a consultant and provides pro bono InfoSec, Pen Testing, Forensics, and IT Framework Audit and Compliance services to both the Non-Profit and Educational sectors.  Mr. Perez is a seasoned IT Security professional. He continues to serve and consult throughout the US and a few Latin American countries, with a greater concentration in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic Region.

 

He also teaches and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on various technologies. His prior experience has also allowed him to teach and consult on funded courses from the DOL (Dept of Labor), JTPA, EDWAA, Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and various other technology schools that handled government training and technology contracts.

 

He is very involved with his work with technology. Mr. Perez also maintains contact with several students he helped make career transitions into the technology and InfoSec fields.
